Op De Ring 2025

We are proud to announce that Innofest will be testing at Op de Ring this summer – a unique, one-time celebration of Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary! On the longest day of the year, 15 kilometers of the A10 highway will transform into a vibrant festival site filled with music, sports, theater, and innovation.

Together with four sustainable and social innovators, we will turn this car-free highway into a test lab for innovative prototypes on Saturday, June 21st. Visitors will have the chance to test these innovations up close and contribute to the development and impact of the solutions with their feedback.

Curious about which innovations will take their first steps here?

Who are the innovators?

Food for Skin

The beauty industry needs a reset. Campaigns are full of false claims, empty promises, and quick fixes for skin problems. Large beauty companies focus on profit and sell products that are harmful to both people and the environment. Think of synthetic ingredients like microplastics and unnecessary packaging that contribute to a large amount of waste. Cathy and Angela from Food for Skin show that things can be different. With natural skincare products from a green supply chain, they are making the sector fairer, more sustainable, and more transparent.

Veldboom studios

Veldboom studios is developing a 3D-printed microcar, specially designed for use on bicycle paths, with a maximum speed of 45 kilometers per hour. Thanks to its light weight and compact size, this vehicle is ideal for fast and flexible urban transport. Where other vehicles in this category are purely functional, Veldboom studios brings design, personalization, and sustainability together in one solution. The microcar is fully electric and offers an innovative driving experience suited to the city of the future.

Sustained Collective

Annually, 92 million tons of textile waste is produced worldwide. In the Netherlands, 239 million kilos of textiles were wasted in 2023, more than half of which was still wearable. Sustained Collective offers a smart solution: reusable T-shirts for festivals, sports days, and corporate events. The shirts are printed with bio-based ink that disappears after one wash, allowing them to be used again and again. Wear, wash, reuse. Sustainability can be that easy.

Neardoor.club

Neardoor.club is an AI-driven platform that connects sports enthusiasts with local activities, clubs, and like-minded people. This way, it promotes an active lifestyle and greater community involvement. Using smart technology, you can easily find sports events that match your preferences or organize one yourself. Neardoor.club makes the sports community more accessible, personal, and social.

RENTGLAM

Glitter dresses and statement pieces are too often forgotten after just one wear. RENTGLAM tackles this problem by giving these eye-catching items a new life. With a fashion rental platform, these innovators give statement pieces a second life, aiming for each item to be worn at least 30 times. This allows users to borrow a new outfit, shine, and return it without guilt. During the festival Op de Ring, RENTGLAM will engage directly with their target audience to gauge opinions on clothing rental and understand when people would truly consider renting that glitter dress. Additionally, they will test pricing strategies to ensure RENTGLAM is accessible to everyone, from the fashionista with a generous budget to the student with a smaller wallet.

Curious about these solutions? Meet the innovators on Saturday, June 21st during Op de Ring and experience the innovations yourself.
