The Biovergister (Bio-digester) offers a circular solution for organic waste. By improving the separation of vegetable, fruit, and garden waste, this material can be transformed into biogas—a sustainable energy source. The ultimate goal is to install a Biovergister in the garden of Utrecht University of Applied Sciences next year. This will not only generate renewable energy but also serve an educational purpose for students and staff.
During the test, the entrepreneurs explored whether people are more motivated to separate their organic waste when they know it will be converted into energy. They also engaged with visitors to gain deeper insights into their waste-sorting behavior and their willingness to take further steps. These conversations provided valuable insights for improving both communication and the sorting process. Based on the feedback, the Biovergister team is continuing to refine their plans to bring this initiative to life.
