Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025

Test innovations and celebrate freedom at Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht on May 5th. Discover the five innovations in the fields of well-being and digitalization here!

Who are the innovators?

On May 5th, we celebrate 80 years of freedom at Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025. This year, we will once again be present: Innofest is testing five groundbreaking innovations! These innovations focus on human health, creating a future-proof living environment, and valuable digitalization. You can find them listed below.

Rinse&Go
Rinse&Go has developed a rinsing station that quickly and sustainably cleans reusable cups, using 80% less water than rinsing and 70% less than a dishwasher. It keeps cups clean throughout the day and reduces the number of dirty cups. This makes Rinse&Go not only an environmentally friendly choice but also a practical and cost-saving solution. During Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, the aim is to test whether it keeps reusable cups in use longer, reduces disposable cups, and makes logistics more efficient. They will also be looking at whether users find it convenient for work or school.

Stamps
Stamps is a free app that helps people share their story with their network when life takes an unexpected turn, for example, in case of illness, loss, or pregnancy. It lowers communication barriers, reduces stress, and prevents loneliness by creating connections and enabling tailored support. At Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, the aim is to test how users experience the app, how they ask for and offer support, and how the app helps them navigate difficult situations. The goal is to gain a better understanding of the needs of people who want to give or receive support.

Green Wine Company
Green Wine Company offers wine, juice, and water in reusable bottles, which saves up to 85% of CO2 emissions compared to recycling. This contributes to a circular economy and reduces packaging waste. During Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025, Green Wine Company is testing whether a festival without packaging waste is possible, and entrepreneurs and consumers will be introduced to the concept and the developed universal crate for the return flow.

Bakezel
The Bakezel is a festival-proof circular cart that is robust and practical for festival-goers. It is designed to carry heavy loads and is suitable for rough terrain, with replaceable parts to minimize waste. The circular rental concept enables repeated use, contributing to the reduction of waste at festivals. At Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht 2025, the aim is to test whether the Bakezel actually helps festival-goers transport belongings more sustainably and easily and whether it reduces the impact of disposable products.

Roods
Roods transforms festivals into interactive museums, where visitors can access the stories behind artists, organizations, and performances via the app. This enhances the experience and creates a deeper connection with the festival. The app is accessible to everyone, with support for audio descriptions, text, and multilingualism. At Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, Roods wants to test whether these stories can increase visitor engagement during the festival and afterward through recurring updates and exclusive content. Roods makes festivals an experience that stays with you long after they end.
