Test in North-Netherlands

Together with Founded in the North, Innofest offers northern Dutch innovators the opportunity to test their prototype at a festival. By helping innovators set up a professional test case, we increase their chances of success in the market.

The Northern Netherlands consists of the provinces of Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. Innovators who want to participate must reside in one of these provinces, be registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) in the Northern Netherlands or have a physical office there.

The Program

In a series of workshops, the test case takes shape step by step. Before and during the final practical test at the festival, participants receive personal guidance from a test expert to achieve an optimal test result. An evaluation workshop follows after the test case at the festival. Here the participants look back on the test case and look ahead to possible future steps. In this way, we ensure that the data collected is actually used to improve the prototype.

At ITGWO: E-motion chair – moving against dementia

Pain is one of the most common symptoms experienced by people with dementia. Often it is poorly recognized because the person in question cannot indicate it well. The E-Motion chair is a cushion that signals movements that indicate pain or stress so caregivers can provide timely assistance. During ITGWO, volunteers were able to try out the cushion.

At TT FESTIVAL: Included Cards – breaking taboos with an inclusive card game

Topics such as sex, gender and identity are often seen as taboos. These taboos can be broken with the Included Cards card game, which opens the conversation on these topics in an accessible and safe way. The makers of the game investigated at the TT Festival which topics or questions people find important and interesting to discuss. As many as 100 festival visitors gave their opinions. They were given a number of questions to ask in the Ferris wheel to engage in conversation about gender, diversity and inclusion. This generated purely positive responses, with people indicating that they found the game of added value – a wonderful boost for the entrepreneurs.
