The PaperCoin is an innovative festival coin made of recycled paper with inlaid wildflower seeds. During Into the Great Wide open on Vlieland, PaperCoin tested the look and feel of the coin. Matthew Hankel, founder of PaperCoin: “Testing within a context where the coin ultimately needs to fulfill its function is very valuable. Through the many conversations and sometimes contrary reactions (“is it Styrofoam?”) we have gained many useful tips and contacts. The results give us even more confidence and energy for our innovation, we can’t wait to challenge the plastic coin! In short, very valuable for sustainability within the event industry and a flowery future!”
