MicroHealth is developing a platform that combines insights from your microbiome with data on food, sleep, stress and exercise. It turns complex health data into personal advice that can help people make healthier choices.
During TT Festival, MicroHealth explored how visitors respond to this kind of personalised health advice. The team spoke to around 30 to 40 visitors and collected feedback from 20 participants through a Woolmap.
The reactions were positive. Visitors saw value in health information based on their own bodies and lifestyles. They felt that personalised advice could help them make healthier choices. Trust also turned out to be important: people mainly want to understand where advice comes from. The fact that AI is behind the technology? That mattered much less to them.
The example report was also well received. Participants found the information clear, but some felt there was quite a lot to take in. A short summary with the most important advice could make it easier to quickly see what you can do yourself.
The test also showed that festival visitors are not quite the target audience MicroHealth has in mind. That’s why the team wants to continue testing with people who are more actively interested in their health and lifestyle.
So, what’s next? Make the reports easier to scan, find the right audience and run longer pilots to see whether personalised health advice can actually help people change their lifestyle.
Your body might be telling you more than you think. MicroHealth wants to help you listen.
