GameActive is committed to tackling low physical activity in the Netherlands. During the FBK games, they tested their new sports application: MR Kickboxing. This innovative application, which uses VR glasses, offers a safe and intensive form of kickboxing. The visitors of the FBK games tested MR kickboxing for attractiveness, safety and intensity.

Although most participants found MR Kickboxing fun and challenging, the target group of the event, consisting of active outdoor athletes, did not appear to be the most suitable for this technology. The willingness to go to the gym for MR Kickboxing was also limited. Based on these results, GameActive will test with other target groups, such as gamers who exercise less frequently and may be more interested in the technology. In addition, they will focus on other locations than gyms to test their innovation.
