In sectors with a tight labor market, such as the hospitality industry, delivery robots help ease work by completing deliveries. ITGWO visitors could experience this unique delivery experience at Stortemelk campsite, where the delivery robot drove around with food and drinks. Tim Klein, project manager at Dutch Automated Mobility, is pleased with the test. “More than 100 participants filled out the survey and we got a lot of enthusiastic responses. People are very positive about the idea of using robots to support festival staff and avoid queues. We also received valuable feedback from critical participants, but after our explanation, many of them were less concerned than before. Moreover, we gained good contacts in the festival industry. Among other things, we will use the test results to determine how to deploy robots with multiple compartments so that everyone can buy and receive their own products.”
