De Duurzame Oplossing is building an independent digital platform that shows what effect a behavioral change or sustainable measures will have on you and the environment. At the heart of the platform is a calculation tool where you can enter a digital version of your home, your installations and your behavior. The platform also contains an extensive knowledge base and sustainability advice.

During Eurosonic Noorderslag, they tested their calculation tool among as many as 106 festival-goers. Of these, 57% indicated that they would actually change their behavior after filling in the tool, and thus take energy-saving measures at home. Founder Wim de Vries: “We want to become the consumer association of sustainability. We make it very personal and show people how much they can save by taking shorter or colder showers, for example. Or that you can also save money with a different shower head. That encourages people to take action.”
