Grabbing a new cup every time, or constantly rinsing your glass with a lot of water? That’s a waste. The innovators at Rinse&Go came up with a smart rinsing station that puts an end to this. With it, you can keep your cup clean all day and save up to 80% of water. It’s fast, efficient, and much better for the planet!

During Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht, Rinse&Go tested their prototype: a cargo bike with a built-in rinsing station. Visitors could experience firsthand what it was like to clean their own cup. They shared their user experience and vision for the prototype’s applicability, for example, at work or other festivals.

The test not only yielded positive feedback on ease of use and hygiene, but also valuable insights for the product’s further development. Festival-goers were willing to reuse their cups, provided the rinsing station felt reliable and clean. At the same time, it became clear that many festivals still work with a cup exchange system, which means the market isn’t entirely ready for this innovation yet. Rinse&Go will therefore focus on offices and schools in the next phase, where cup reuse is already more common.

A notable insight was that stories about the enormous number of disposable cups that could be saved thanks to Rinse&Go resonated most with the public. These insights are now being incorporated into the product’s branding.
